Our Programs

Integrated Care Leadership Program

The Integrated Care Leadership Program (ICLP) builds capacity within clinical sites to successfully integrate behavioral health services into primary care practices. The program has been demonstrated to advance organizational readiness for integrated care among established and emerging integrated care sites by providing education, implementation supports, and structured coaching and feedback.

Smart and Secure Children (SSC) Parent Leadership Program

The Smart and Secure Children (SSC) Parent Leadership Program improves the knowledge and skills of parents of children 0-5 years through a culturally-relevant parenting curriculum. The SSC curriculum is designed to increase quality parenting knowledge and skills and mental well-being as protective factors for parents in order to reduce the negative impact of poverty and related risk factors affecting children’s preschool ability and behavioral health.

The Center’s research portfolio reflects our commitment to implementing science that advances behavioral health equity; improves efficiency within local, state and national health care systems; and supports the agency of underserved communities to achieve optimal health and wellness.

The Kennedy-Satcher Center for Mental Health Equity seeks to inform evidence-based policy through translation of scientific evidence for policymakers and other decision-makers. The Center develops policy briefs, whitepapers, and reports that break down complex issues and highlight best practices for the advancement of mental health equity. The Center also participates in the development of legislation and regulations through public comments and collaboration with federal and state policymakers.
